Overview

The Barista position at K&Z Holdings Ltd involves collaborating effectively within a team to deliver high-quality coffee beverages that meet the company's standards. This role focuses on maintaining excellent drink quality, comprehensive product knowledge, and delivering exceptional customer service with enthusiasm and energy, referred to as Pret "Buzz".

Key Responsibilities

• Coach and educate team members and baristas in training on drink preparation and quality standards.
• Coordinate training schedules with the team to ensure comprehensive barista training.
• Lead team briefings and participate in relevant meetings or courses related to coffee preparation.
• Maintain and update all training materials for hot beverages.
• Adhere to dress code policies, including wearing the correct uniform and maintaining a tidy appearance.
• Engage customers proactively with information about coffee offerings and create an energetic service atmosphere.
• Manage customer queues efficiently and serve drinks promptly.
• Deliver visually appealing beverages, including latte art, to impress customers.
• Prepare all coffee drinks to established quality standards and confidently share knowledge about products.
• Monitor milk and coffee quality regularly through taste tests and measurements.
• Take accountability for performance results in coffee quality inspections and customer mystery shopping reviews.
• Introduce updates on drink standards and new product launches to the team.
• Report any ingredient quality concerns to management promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-friendly barista station, performing daily and weekly equipment checks.
• Implement health and safety and food safety standards consistently and report any non-compliance.
• Control waste levels related to barista ingredients and support stock management efforts.
• Work towards weekly sales targets, share progress with the team, and ensure adequate stock levels for ingredients and supplies.
• Utilize promotional opportunities to sample products and foster customer loyalty.
