About ai71
ai71 develops advanced artificial intelligence products that help companies, public-sector organizations, and developers tackle difficult problems. Its solutions are built to be secure, ready for enterprise use, and designed around the practical needs of knowledge workers and industry-specific use cases. The company focuses on turning cutting-edge AI research into tools that create measurable real-world value.
Role overview
As the company scales, technical program management plays a central role in keeping product delivery aligned with the roadmap. This position is part of the TPM team supporting ASK, an agentic platform that lets enterprises and governments search their data, create content, and coordinate multi-agent workflows across the tools their teams already use.
The TPM group is intentionally compact and works deeply where it matters most. Each TPM is responsible for being embedded with one or more teams while also owning one or more cross-functional initiatives from start to finish. That combination keeps the work connected to day-to-day delivery while also making the function strategically important rather than purely operational. The team is encouraged to experiment with new approaches to speed up delivery, improve organizational structure, and shape culture as the function grows.
What you will do
In this role, you will support delivery, shape cross-team execution, and help strengthen the TPM function as the organization expands.
- Work closely with Product Managers, Tech Leads, Designers, Software Engineers, ML Engineers, and DevOps to clarify priorities, align scope, and keep projects moving with strong quality and on schedule.
- Review product requirements and technical designs to identify dependencies, risks, and coordination needs early, then help orchestrate execution across the teams involved.
- Support one or two teams in delivery, covering both technical initiatives and functional work connected to the evolution of ASK.
- Lead at least one complex program that spans several teams and functions, and keep it moving from planning through delivery.
- Use influence and practical problem-solving to help teams adapt their ways of working, remove friction, and improve how work gets done.
- Help develop the TPM function by facilitating retrospectives, refining operating rituals, and contributing ideas for how the team works internally and represents itself externally.
- Support hiring and branding efforts for the TPM and Engineering teams.
The team
The team works from a shared mission and an evolving roadmap. Different working styles are welcomed, and responsibilities are rotated so everyone has opportunities to stretch and learn. Team members regularly discuss challenges, exchange ideas, and learn openly from one another in a feedback-rich environment.
Who you are
You likely have at least 5 years of experience in Technical Program Management, Program Management, or a closely related role where you have coordinated technical delivery in a fast-moving environment. Backgrounds in engineering management, technical product management, or production-related roles can also be relevant. A foundation in engineering is highly valued. While you will not be expected to code, you should be able to read code and confidently question technical design choices.
What will help you succeed
- You are resourceful and comfortable entering new situations without a playbook, then creating structure and momentum yourself.
- You have strong technical curiosity and can engage in meaningful discussions about AI systems, including LLMs, agents, evaluation methods, retrieval-augmented generation, and orchestration.
- You take ownership seriously and can point to complex programs that only moved forward because you were driving them.
- You influence effectively without formal authority and can challenge ideas while keeping relationships constructive.
- You bring clarity by connecting cross-team dependencies, spotting organizational bottlenecks, and communicating direction through strong writing and alignment.
Experience with agentic systems, AI platforms, or enterprise SaaS would be a strong advantage.
Additional note
The team recognizes that strong candidates may come from different paths and may not match every listed requirement. If your background is somewhat different but you believe you can add value, you are encouraged to apply.
