Role overview
Knix is looking for a Sourcing Coordinator to support the Sourcing team in day-to-day execution. The position works closely with internal partners and outside vendors to keep product development, merchandising, and sourcing schedules on track and to make sure delivery commitments are met. The right person will be organized, proactive, detail-focused, and eager to learn in a fast-moving apparel business.
What you will do
- Partner with the Sourcing & Production Manager to maintain and refresh work-in-progress timelines.
- Handle purchase orders from initial placement through final delivery, with frequent follow-up from overseas vendors.
- Keep the development, merchandising, and sourcing calendar current and share status updates with the right teams.
- Track delivery dates closely and communicate changes promptly to relevant stakeholders.
- Assist the Product team by coordinating vendor meetings and travel arrangements.
- Prepare both recurring and ad hoc reports, charts, and other team documents.
- Follow up on sample requests and product development requests to keep work moving.
- Manage vendor communication and lead weekly check-ins with key vendors to review progress and clear open issues.
- Share any timing changes with the Product team quickly and clearly.
- Track, organize, and distribute samples.
- Keep product and shipment tracking records accurate and current.

Qualifications and experience
- About 1 year of experience in overseas sourcing, material sourcing, or product development is considered an advantage.
- A diploma in Business Management, Fashion Merchandising, or a related area is an asset.
- Working knowledge of fabrics, garment techniques, and construction is important.
- Interest in sourcing, buying, or inventory management within apparel is preferred.
- Strong spoken and written communication skills are required.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, is needed.
- You should be highly organized and able to manage several projects and timelines at once.
Compensation
The starting salary for this role is $50,000 per year.
