Role overview
B&Q is hiring a full-time Shift Lead for its Galway, County Galway store in Ireland. This is a permanent position with 36.75 working hours per week. The role includes keyholder responsibility, with shifts beginning as early as 6:00am and finishing as late as 10:00pm.
The package includes a full-time equivalent salary of €35,353.50 per year, plus pension and 7 weeks of holiday, including bank holidays. Sunday work is paid at 0.25 premium.
The purpose of the role is to help create a safe, smooth and welcoming environment for both customers and colleagues. You will lead the shift, keep day-to-day store activity on track, and support the delivery of a positive shopping and working experience.
What you will do
- Act as the day-to-day centre of the store and help ensure operations run efficiently.
- Allocate colleagues appropriately so customer service needs are met throughout the shift.
- Serve as the main contact for customers and team members during your shift.
- Maintain a safe store environment at all times.
