Shift Lead

Role overview

B&Q is looking for a Shift Lead to help keep the store running safely and efficiently while creating a positive experience for both customers and colleagues. The role sits at the centre of day-to-day store activity and helps ensure the right support is in place across the shift.

Working pattern and contract

This position is available as full time, part time, or job share. The standard working week is 36.75 hours. It is offered on a permanent contract and is based at B&Q Weymouth.

This is a keyholder role. Shift times can start as early as 6:00am and may finish as late as 10:00pm.

Compensation and benefits

The full-time equivalent salary is £27,709.50 per year. The package also includes a pension, 6.6 weeks of holiday, share save options, payroll giving, an employee assistance programme, shopping discounts, and colleague wellbeing benefits.

What you will do

• Act as the day-to-day anchor for the store and help operations stay on track.
• Assign colleagues effectively so customer needs are met throughout the shift.
• Serve as the main point of contact for both customers and team members.
• Maintain a safe environment across the store at all times.
