Role Overview
This position is for a Project Manager based in Tuas, Singapore, reporting to the Assistant Head of Projects. The role centers on delivering fit-out and AEI works within an active manufacturing site, with a strong emphasis on safety, coordination, and minimizing disruption to plant operations.
Project Delivery
- Take ownership of projects from start to finish for fit-out and AEI work inside an operating manufacturing facility.
- Build and manage project plans covering schedules, budgets, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Keep project activities aligned with site operations so production is impacted as little as possible.
- Assess contractor design packages, method statements, and technical documents.
- Spot opportunities for refurbishment, enhancement, and site improvement, then prepare technical and commercial proposals that can create additional project scope and revenue.
Stakeholder and Client Coordination
- Serve as the main point of contact for the client and provide timely progress updates.
- Work with client teams across operations, production, EHS, QA/QC, and facilities to ensure project requirements are properly aligned.
- Partner with the IFM team so project delivery fits existing systems and site limitations.
- Run meetings, progress checks, and reporting sessions for senior stakeholders.
Safety and Compliance
- Promote a strong safety-first mindset across all project work.
- Make sure all activities follow site EHS standards, permit-to-work controls, and applicable regulations.
- Carry out regular inspections, risk reviews, and safety checks at site.
- Apply strict safe-work controls in high-risk settings such as live plant areas, confined spaces, and lifting operations.
- Intervene to halt unsafe work when required and push through corrective actions.
Requirements
- A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated project management experience in manufacturing, industrial, or mission-critical environments.
- Solid exposure to fit-out work, AEI projects, or brownfield site delivery.
- Comfort working in live plant environments with operational constraints.
- Good working knowledge of M&E systems, including HVAC, electrical, and utilities.
- Experience coordinating with IFM or facilities management teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management ability.
- Capability to manage several stakeholders and priorities at the same time.
