Role overview
Jacobs is seeking Project Managers at an early-career to mid-career level to support its Resources Hub in Perth. The role sits within a growing business area focused on resources and new energy projects, where the team helps clients progress work from early assessment through to closure while adapting to changing energy, decarbonisation, and growth demands.
In this position, you will build on existing project delivery experience and take on wider responsibilities across multidisciplinary assignments. You will work with engineering teams, contribute to planning and delivery, and help ensure project outcomes align with scope, statutory obligations, and client needs.
The role also supports project and design management work across civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural disciplines, with involvement in major bids, business development activities, and team capability building.
What you will do
You will collaborate with senior leaders and contribute to the successful delivery of complex projects and studies. Your work will cover coordination across engineering, design, fabrication, installation, commissioning, quality, safety, finance, administration, and cost and schedule control.
You will also help monitor project objectives and KPIs, support multidisciplinary design management, and assist in work that strengthens project team capability.
Requirements
Applicants should bring a relevant tertiary qualification together with demonstrated professional experience in project management or project engineering within the mining and resources sector.
Experience with project delivery methods, relevant codes and specifications for mining and resources work, and practical involvement in planning, design, commissioning, and construction/interface management is important.
The role also calls for a strong grasp of engineering design packages and coordination across multiple engineering disciplines, along with solid project management knowledge, effective communication, and confidence using project management software.
A strategic and innovative approach, problem-solving ability, and strong interpersonal skills are needed to work well in collaborative, multidisciplinary environments.
Jacobs is open to candidates who need flexibility around school drop-offs and pick-ups, as well as those interested in full-time or part-time job-sharing arrangements.
Additional information
Jacobs emphasises safety, flexibility, inclusion, and belonging in its workplace. Employees can access flexible working arrangements, wellbeing support, volunteering opportunities, and global giving programs.
The company highlights its commitment to diverse perspectives and community-building through employee networks, communities of practice, and inclusion initiatives.
Its benefits package includes paid parental leave, financial support for fertility and IVF treatment, adoption and surrogacy assistance, and support related to menopause and Low T treatment.
Jacobs has been recognised by WGEA for 12 consecutive years as an employer of choice for gender equality and holds GOLD employer status with the Australian Workplace Equality Index.
Cultural support
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are strongly encouraged to apply. Jacobs offers cultural safety during interviews, and candidates may nominate a cultural representative to join the interview panel by informing the recruiter in their application.
Working model
The company follows a hybrid working policy. Employees split their time between Jacobs offices or project locations and remote work, with in-person collaboration valued for culture and client delivery.
