Project Data Analyst (Entry / Junior Level)

Role overview

This junior-level role supports project teams by gathering, structuring, examining, and interpreting data to strengthen project planning, delivery, and overall performance. The position focuses on turning raw project information into useful insights for stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

You will help create and maintain reports, dashboards, and visual summaries that show project schedules, budgets, resource usage, risks, and key performance measures. The role also involves tracking project metrics, spotting patterns, reviewing outcomes, and suggesting ways to improve workflows and operations.

In addition, you will support forecasting, performance monitoring, data checks, and reporting tasks to keep project information accurate, consistent, and dependable. You will work closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to provide insights that support informed decisions, successful delivery, and ongoing improvement.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Candidates should bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work with spreadsheets, reporting tools, analysis methods, and data visualization platforms.

Knowledge of database fundamentals, statistical methods, project performance tracking, and business reporting is helpful. Strong communication and presentation abilities are important, especially the capacity to explain complex data in a clear business context. Good organization, time management, and the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines are also expected. Familiarity with forecasting, process improvement approaches, project management concepts, and business intelligence is an added advantage.
