Role overview
The Production Controller role is focused on supporting everyday manufacturing operations. In this position, you will help keep schedules on track, coordinate material movement, maintain accurate documentation, and keep communication flowing between teams so production goals are met on time and to quality expectations. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone looking to grow in production planning, organization, and process improvement in a busy manufacturing setting.
Key responsibilities
- Help keep the daily production plan up to date and monitor overall progress against schedule.
- Coordinate with warehouse and purchasing teams to make sure materials reach production areas when needed.
- Maintain production boards, tracking tools, and huddle boards with current and accurate information.
- Stay in regular contact with supervisors and production leads to surface and help resolve delays, bottlenecks, or other issues.
- Watch inventory levels and flag shortages, inconsistencies, or possible supply risks.
- Assist in creating reports on production performance, including output, delivery performance, and quality metrics.
- Identify, document, and escalate ideas that could improve processes or efficiency.
- Follow company safety rules and quality standards in every assigned task.
- Carry out other related duties as needed.

Experience and knowledge
This position is intended for someone with a high school diploma or equivalent. Some college coursework or technical training is preferred. Prior exposure to manufacturing, production, or a similar environment is helpful, especially with at least one year of related experience. Basic computer literacy is required, including working knowledge of MS Office; experience with ERP systems is a plus. Strong organization, communication, teamwork, and multi-tasking ability are important for success in this role.
