Role overview

The People & Culture Executive will handle day-to-day HR operations, support recruitment and onboarding, maintain employee records, coordinate engagement activities, and assist with reports, communications, and employee queries. The role also requires close collaboration with managers, external partners, and other departments to ensure smooth people processes.

Human Resources administration

  • Manage daily People & Culture administrative tasks accurately and within required timelines.
  • Maintain employee data in the HR system and keep records up to date.
  • Create employee personal files and support general document filing.
  • Handle work pass applications with the Ministry of Manpower.
  • Draft letters and other employee communications as needed.
  • Prepare the monthly employee newsletter.
  • Plan and coordinate employee social, sports, and recreational events.
  • Compile and submit periodic People & Culture and training reports.
  • Track annual and probationary appraisals for all employees.
  • Support colleagues with HR-related questions and requests.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across departments and with external professional contacts.

Recruitment and onboarding

  • Work with hiring managers to recruit Rank & File employees based on approved headcount and in line with company standards and procedures.
  • Prepare and issue employment contracts to new joiners.
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding process for all new hires.
  • Conduct recruitment and exit interviews for Rank & File employees.
  • Manage resignation processing and clearance procedures.
  • Maintain positive relationships with recruitment agencies and other hiring sources.

Additional responsibilities

  • Attend briefings, meetings, and training sessions assigned by management.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and high standards of hygiene.
  • Stay aware of hotel fire, life safety, and emergency procedures.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Diploma in Human Resources Management or a related discipline.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a comparable HR position.
  • Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Comfortable using MS Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Good interpersonal ability and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Well organized, detail-focused, and able to manage time effectively.
  • Working knowledge of HR practices and basic employment legislation.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Solid problem-solving and decision-making capability.
  • Flexible, quick to adapt, and eager to learn in a fast-moving environment.
  • Customer-oriented approach with a genuine interest in supporting employees.
  • HRIS experience will be considered an advantage.
