Operations Manager

About the Role

Maven Contracting and General Maintenance is hiring an experienced Operations Manager to lead and coordinate construction and maintenance work across the UAE. The role focuses on keeping multiple projects running safely, efficiently, and in line with quality, cost, and schedule expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct several projects at once and make sure each one is delivered safely, on schedule, within the approved budget, and to the expected quality level.
• Guide and supervise project managers, engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and on-site teams.
• Organize staffing, materials, equipment, and other resources needed for project execution.
• Track project progress, output, costs, operational risks, and overall performance.
• Work closely with clients, consultants, government authorities, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Verify that work follows approved drawings, technical specifications, contract terms, QA/QC procedures, and HSE requirements.
• Assist with procurement, commercial matters, variations, payments, and project handover/close-out tasks.
• Compile operational reports and share regular status updates with senior leadership.
• Address technical and operational challenges that may affect delivery.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s qualification in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline is required.
• At least 10 years of construction experience in the UAE is needed.
• Prior exposure to an operations leadership role or a senior project management role is essential.
• Strong understanding of UAE construction methods, regulations, contract practices, and authority approval requirements is necessary.
• Background in structural strengthening, concrete repair, rehabilitation, maintenance, or building contracting will be an advantage.
• Applicants should demonstrate strong leadership, planning, commercial acumen, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage teams effectively are important.
• A valid UAE driving licence is preferred.
