Role Overview

The Night Porter helps maintain guest safety, comfort, and the security of the pub and hotel during overnight hours. The position involves responding to guest needs, welcoming and checking in late arrivals, upholding room standards, preparing for breakfast service, and completing required health and safety checks and audits.

Key Duties

• Support the safety and security of guests, the pub, and the hotel throughout the night
• Handle guest requests promptly and professionally
• Greet late check-ins and complete arrival procedures
• Keep guest rooms and associated areas in good order
• Prepare areas for breakfast service before the morning shift
• Carry out health and safety inspections and any required audits

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to excellent customer service, a friendly and outgoing manner, and the confidence to work independently when needed. Previous experience in a similar setting is required, along with clear communication skills and a sharp eye for detail.
