Role overview
Ventaris Surgical is looking for a meticulous and analytical Junior Data Analyst to help turn data into practical insights that support business decisions. This position focuses on gathering, preparing, reviewing, and studying data to aid operational, financial, and strategic work. The right candidate will be comfortable handling large datasets, maintaining accuracy, and protecting data confidentiality.
What you will do
- Gather data from different sources, then organize, clean, and verify it for use.
- Examine datasets to spot patterns, trends, and useful business insights.
- Build reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for internal stakeholders.
- Track data quality and carry out regular validation checks.
- Help maintain databases, spreadsheets, and reporting workflows.
- Support forecasting, planning, and performance analysis efforts.
- Prepare charts, graphs, and presentations to explain findings clearly.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand reporting expectations and business requirements.
- Look for opportunities to improve processes through analysis.
- Record methods, insights, and reporting steps for future reference.
Skills and qualifications
This role calls for strong analytical thinking, careful attention to detail, and solid problem-solving ability. You should be comfortable using Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis methods, with working knowledge of SQL, databases, and reporting tools. Clear communication, strong organization, and the ability to manage time well are important. You should also be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred background
A bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline is preferred. Prior exposure through internships, academic projects, research work, reporting tasks, or other data-related experience is an advantage. Experience with business intelligence platforms, data visualization tools, statistical software, large datasets, and analytical reporting will be considered helpful.
