Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site position in India for a Freight Broker / Freight Rate Specialist. The person in this role will oversee shipping workflows, arrange freight movement, negotiate carrier pricing, and help ensure deliveries happen on schedule. The job also involves developing and maintaining relationships with clients and carriers, monitoring loads in transit, handling exceptions or delays, and supporting customer satisfaction through effective follow-through. Administrative coordination and adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements are also part of the work.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate freight shipments and manage the movement of goods from origin to destination.
• Negotiate pricing and service terms with carriers to secure suitable freight rates.
• Maintain strong working relationships with clients and transportation partners.
• Track shipments closely and work to ensure timely delivery performance.
• Address delays, disruptions, and other operational issues as they arise.
• Support day-to-day administrative duties tied to logistics operations.
• Follow documentation and compliance procedures relevant to the freight and logistics industry.

Candidate Profile

• Clear communication and persuasive negotiation skills.
• Background in logistics, freight brokerage, or supply chain operations.
• Ability to coordinate shipments and manage on-time delivery expectations.
• Comfort using transportation or logistics software and related platforms.
• Strong problem-solving ability and sound judgment in real-time situations.
• Knowledge of compliance rules and logistics documentation practices.
• Well-developed organization and multitasking skills for operational and administrative work.

Preferred Education

A degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a similar discipline is preferred.
