Executive, Commercial (Estimating)

Job summary

This role sits within the commercial team and is responsible for handling client enquiries, coordinating with Production and subcontract partners to build accurate proposals on schedule, and keeping clients updated on the progress of submitted bids.

Key responsibilities

• Review vessel repair and docking specifications to understand the scope of work.
• Prepare and submit quotations on time for ship repair, conversion, and retrofit projects, using manhours, materials, and subcontractor cost estimates before contract award.
• Work with equipment vendors and subcontractors to obtain precise pricing.
• Participate in vessel inspections.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned when required.

Key requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in ship repair or shipyard operations.
• Diploma or engineering qualification in Marine, Mechanical, Naval Architecture, or Offshore Engineering.
• Strong attention to detail and a meticulous working style.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office.
• Prior exposure to SAP or Salesforce will be an advantage.

Education

Diploma in Engineering.
