About the role

The Perth operations team is hiring a reliable cylinder delivery driver. In this position, you will deliver and collect gas cylinders for commercial and residential customers across multiple suburbs in the metro area and nearby regions.

This is a practical outdoor role with regular manual handling of gas cylinders, so it suits someone who is comfortable being active throughout the day and working on their feet.

Key duties

• Load and transport bulk cylinders as well as individual cylinder products.
• Keep assigned vehicles clean, roadworthy, and ready for use, including daily walkaround inspections, pre-start checks, and reporting any faults or signs of damage. Vehicles may be 8-12 tonne rigid trucks.
• Complete paperwork and delivery records accurately, including consignment notes and electronic logging through handheld scanner equipment to track deliveries and stock.
• Work with a strong focus on safety, including safe road use, traffic awareness, and patience on the road.
• Escalate hazards, safety issues, near misses, incidents, and accidents promptly.
• Manage time effectively and work efficiently throughout the day.
• Deliver products in a professional and customer-friendly manner.

Skills and experience

To be successful, you should bring a valid MR licence and/or HR licence, along with previous experience driving trucks. A current forklift licence is preferred but not essential.

You will also need to work independently, solve problems on your own, manage fatigue responsibly, and handle minor mechanical issues when needed. The role may involve variable working hours and occasional weekend shifts.
