Job Overview
This cleaning position is based at The Britannia Inn in Plymouth, England, United Kingdom. The advertised rate of pay is £12.91 per hour. The role is for a cleaner within a pub environment and is scheduled for 6 hours per week, with shifts listed across every day of the week from 6:00 to 8:00.
What the Role Involves
Your main responsibility will be to keep the pub spotless and presentable at all times so that guests enjoy a high standard of cleanliness throughout their visit.
- Clean all customer-facing areas, toilets, the bar, kitchen, staff spaces, and outdoor areas.
- Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties in line with standard operating procedures.
- Use cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly.
- Track cleaning stock levels and inform the manager when supplies need replenishing.
- Escalate any maintenance concerns or pest control issues to the manager on duty.
- Greet customers courteously and interact in a polite, professional manner.
- Take part in induction, job-specific, and ongoing refresher training, while supporting continuous improvement.
