Role overview
You will help create smooth checkout operations by assisting customers, handling transactions accurately, and keeping the cashier area organized. You will also help maintain safety, prevent losses, and support the store’s overall day-to-day flow.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome customers and interact with them in a polite, helpful way
- Handle purchase transactions with accuracy and care
- Keep checkout counters tidy, organized, and free of clutter
- Prepare and reconcile the cash report at the end of each shift
- Follow company rules related to loss prevention, health, and safety
- Take on other duties that help the store operate efficiently
What we’re looking for
- Strong customer service ability
- Quick problem-solving skills for handling different situations efficiently
- Good attention to detail
- Comfort with standing for long periods and occasionally working outdoors
- Prior experience with cash register or point-of-sale systems is an advantage
