Role Overview
The company is hiring an Assistant Project Manager in Las Vegas, NV. In this role, you will support project managers and also take ownership of smaller projects. The work centers on commercial drywall, metal stud framing, and acoustics, with a focus on keeping field teams on schedule and within budget.
Key Duties
- Manage project records by tracking and submitting logs, drawings, specifications, RFIs, change orders, and related paperwork.
- Carry out field quality checks, document inspections, and alert the Project Superintendent to any issues that need attention.
- Maintain change management records, coordinate with impacted trades, capture change events, and prepare and release change orders.
- Support project cost control and billing by reviewing internal invoices, requesting and checking schedules, and helping ensure payments are collected.
- Provide administrative assistance to project managers so their time can be used as efficiently as possible.
- Handle additional tasks as assigned.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in framing and drywall work across new construction, renovation, and interior buildouts. A Bachelor of Science in Construction Science, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline is strongly preferred, and may substitute for experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills are important, along with hands-on experience using Procore and project scheduling tools. The role also calls for good judgment, confidentiality, and discretion when handling sensitive project information and working with colleagues and outside professionals. Experience in luxury construction is preferred.
