Assembler

About the role

ABB is looking for an Assembler to support production output at its Stonehouse site. The position contributes to manufacturing targets by following established processes and using equipment and instructions accurately to build finished and semi-finished products, systems, and panels.

This role reports to the Team Leader.

What you will do

• Carry out a variety of assembly tasks to build semi-finished or completed products, systems, and panels, including packing activities where these are part of the production line.
• Use light hand tools and manual methods to complete assembly work accurately.
• Carry out routine quality checks as part of the production workflow.
• Work in line with standard operating procedures and keep the work area tidy and organized.

Requirements for the role

• Prior experience in bench assembly is required.
• A background in manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail is important.
• You should be able to follow manufacturing assembly instructions closely.
• A reliable record of good punctuality and timekeeping is expected.
