About the Role
Cooper Equipment Rentals is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Yard Coordinator to join its team in Mono Road, Ontario. This is a year-round, on-site role for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and supporting smooth daily operations.
What You’ll Do
- Clean, wash, dry, and detail rental equipment using pressure washers, vacuums, and approved cleaning products.
- Keep the equipment yard and wash bay neat, safe, and well organized.
- Help customers and drivers load and unload equipment.
- Use forklifts and other construction equipment as part of daily yard operations.
- Inspect returned equipment for any damage, report issues, and complete service tags for items coming back to the yard.
- Follow health and safety rules and procedures at all times.
- Support fueling tasks, tire storage, and moving equipment when required.
- Work closely with coworkers and supervisors to keep workflow running efficiently.
What You Need to Bring
- A valid Class G driver’s licence and a clean or satisfactory driving record, with no more than 3 demerit points.
- Willingness to provide an updated driver’s abstract if requested.
- The physical ability to remain on your feet for long periods and lift about 50 lbs.
- Comfort working outdoors throughout the year in varying weather conditions.
- Availability to work overtime when needed.
- Forklift certification or prior experience with forklifts and/or construction equipment is a strong advantage.
- Mechanical ability and/or previous equipment-handling experience is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- A flexible attitude and the ability to perform well in a busy, fast-paced setting.
- A team-oriented, customer-first mindset and a willingness to learn more about construction equipment and the rental business.
- Comfort using computers and technology for tasks such as inspections and inventory tracking.
