About the opportunity
Sandvik Mining is looking for a capable and proactive Warehouse Worker / Operator to join the Pooraka branch in South Australia. This role supports warehouse and distribution activities for both internal teams and external customers.
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will help manage daily warehouse tasks while supporting efficiency, safety, and high service standards. You will be a visible presence on the warehouse floor, helping coordinate operations, supporting team output, and contributing to better processes and ongoing improvements.
Key responsibilities
- Work with managers, suppliers, and customers in relation to stores and warehouse operations.
- Handle weighing, shipping, receiving, delivery, and dispatch duties as needed.
- Receive, record, pick, pack, and dispatch spare parts and other materials.
- Take part in project-related tasks.
- Support inventory management activities.
- Prepare shipping and dispatch paperwork.
- Carry out detailed data entry in Sandvik systems, including SAP.
- Investigate stock or process discrepancies and carry out corrective actions.
- Perform cycle counts and complete full stocktakes.
- Apply quality control methods and procedures.
- Maintain general warehouse upkeep and housekeeping.
- Guide and support team members while ensuring procedures, safety rules, and productivity targets are followed.
- Keep the warehouse safe, tidy, and well organised in line with WHS requirements.
About you
The right candidate will bring at least 3 years of warehouse or stores experience in a heavy mining or equipment manufacturing setting. A current forklift licence is required. You should be comfortable working with SAP and RF scanners, and confident learning new systems and work methods. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, are important, as is the ability to support and follow OH&S policies and procedures.
You should also be energetic, adaptable, flexible, and able to communicate well with others and build positive customer relationships. The role suits someone who can collaborate effectively with wider team members and work flexible shifts and rosters.
