Role Overview
KeenLogic is hiring a creative and technically capable Videographer to support CAO Coach services at the House of Representatives. The position is centered on producing polished, engaging video content for a broad audience, with work spanning concept development, shooting, editing, and delivery across digital and in-person formats.
This role suits someone who enjoys working with multiple teams, can turn ideas into compelling visual stories, and brings strong production and post-production skills. The work includes planning shoots, editing content, supporting live multi-camera events, and helping create virtual classes, breakout sessions, and presentations.
Position Details
- Contract term: 12 months, with two additional option years
- Workload: 40 hours per week
- Core schedule: Monday through Friday, between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM
- Work hours may occasionally go beyond 40 per week to cover events and operational needs
- Location: Washington, DC
- On-site presence is required in a professional office setting
- The role may include carrying lightweight video and production equipment and working at filming locations
Responsibilities
- Partner with internal stakeholders to shape original video concepts and creative approaches
- Plan and carry out on-location shoots, including lighting setup, audio recording, and directing
- Produce and edit high-quality videos for both online and in-person use
- Perform post-production work such as color balancing, sound editing, soundtrack selection, motion graphics, and other visual refinements
- Keep media files and video asset libraries well organized and current
- Assist with live multi-camera productions for streaming and digital release
- Support the development of virtual and face-to-face training sessions, breakout discussions, and presentations
- Balance several projects at once while staying on schedule and incorporating revisions
- Make sure all deliverables follow branding and communication guidelines
Requirements
- Must be a US citizen
- A degree or certification in Communications, Graphic Design, Video Production, Digital Communications, or a similar discipline is preferred
- At least 5 years of experience producing, editing, and maintaining digital or video content
- Hands-on proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects
- Experience using graphics and animation software
- Strong grasp of video production workflows and post-production methods
- Prior experience publishing, linking, and embedding videos online, including on YouTube
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Strong planning, coordination, and project management abilities
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-moving environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Work Environment
This is an on-site role based in Washington, DC. The job is performed in a professional office environment and may also involve travel to filming locations and event spaces.
Additional Information
The contract length is 12 months with two option years, and the schedule is 40 hours per week. Standard working hours fall between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM from Monday to Friday, although some weeks may require overtime to support events and operational priorities.
