Tender Engineer

Role Overview

We are hiring a Tender Engineer for a Surat-based position focused on tendering and EPC estimation within transmission and distribution projects. The role requires hands-on experience in preparing bids, evaluating risks, coordinating with internal teams, and managing submission and post-bid activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender notices to identify suitable opportunities, summarize the scope, verify eligibility, and highlight any risk factors.
• Work with Projects, Technical, Procurement, and Accounts teams during pre-bid planning and coordination.
• Prepare estimates, carry out rate analysis, and compile the final quotation for online submission and e-auction processes.
• Support activities after L1 status, including negotiation handling, LOI/LOA acceptance coordination, and readiness for handover and project kickoff.
• Develop BOQs, perform rate analysis, and coordinate with vendors for budgetary pricing inputs.
• Manage tender documentation such as eligibility documents, forms, declarations, and checklists.
• Coordinate with Accounts for EMD and bid fee processing, and work with the technical team for clarifications.
• Keep the tender tracker updated with submission records, proof of submission, and corrigendum changes.
• Arrange and track pre-bid clarifications, negotiation schedules, and communication related to LOI/LOA.
• Monitor the tender pipeline status and maintain relationship logs for ongoing opportunities.
• Assist with post-award documentation, including agreement-related coordination and required submissions.

Requirements

• Educational background in BE or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in tendering and EPC estimation.
• Experience must include transmission and distribution projects.
• For transmission projects, minimum experience with 66 KV voltage class work is required.
• Strong understanding of tender documentation, submission processes, and bid coordination.
• Ability to work across technical, commercial, procurement, and finance functions.

Compensation

The offered salary range is ₹45,000 to ₹75,000 per month.

Additional Information

This position is based in Surat, Gujarat, India and is a full-time onsite role.

Relevant background in electrical sector tendering and EPC estimation will be important for success in this position.

Special focus areas include transmission and distribution tendering, with particular emphasis on 66 KV and above transmission experience.
