About the Company
PayPal is a long-established global commerce platform that has spent over 25 years making it easier, safer, and more personalized for people and businesses to move money, sell, and shop across roughly 200 markets. The company runs a large two-sided network connecting merchants and consumers, supporting payments both online and in person.
Beyond connecting users to external payment rails, PayPal offers its own payment solutions that let customers complete transactions on the platform. Its ecosystem supports sending, receiving, transferring, and withdrawing money, along with a variety of funding methods such as bank accounts, PayPal or Venmo balances, credit products, debit cards, certain cryptocurrencies, gift cards, and eligible rewards. PayPal, Venmo, and Xoom also simplify person-to-person transfers, while merchant products help with authorization, settlement, instant fund access, payouts, returns, exchanges, customer engagement, and risk management. The company also supports cross-border commerce by reducing friction for shoppers and merchants operating internationally.
PayPal’s culture is guided by Inclusion, Innovation, Collaboration, and Wellness. These values shape how the company works with customers, supports employees, and contributes to communities.
