Team Overview
The verification function is part of the silicon design organization. The team ensures that RTL produced by the logical design team and consumed by the physical design team is aligned with the architecture specification for Graphcore silicon. This role supports verification work that helps deliver high-quality silicon against company goals.
What You’ll Do
- Plan verification activity, define specifications, and drive functional coverage to closure.
- Give practical feedback and inputs to architecture teams.
- Create tests and investigate failures to determine root causes and triage issues.
- Help develop and improve common verification tooling and infrastructure.
- Support clear communication and coordination across different sites.
Essential Experience and Skills
- Hands-on verification experience in a relevant industry setting.
- Strong capability in planning and taking ownership of work, including leadership qualities.
- Self-driven, motivated, and collaborative approach to team work.
- Ability to operate across teams and multiple programming languages to diagnose difficult technical issues.
- Experience applying verification methods in CPU and/or ASIC environments.
- Working knowledge of SystemVerilog, Python, C++, and Linux.
Nice to Have
- Experience with UVM.
- Familiarity with SVA.
- Exposure to assembly language.
- Knowledge of LLVM or GCC.
- Use of version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with SGE or similar distributed resource management systems.
- Working knowledge of XML and XPath/XSLT.
- Web development exposure including HTML/DOM, JavaScript, and SQL.
