Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Visual Designer to join a design and technology incubator focused on shaping human-centered innovation and rapid concept development. In this role, you will turn abstract ideas into refined visual assets and interface experiences that make complex information easier to understand and engage with.
Assignment Details
This is a remote contract opportunity with an expected duration of 6 to 12 months or longer.
What You Will Do
- Deliver polished visual design work with a consistently high standard of craftsmanship across all assigned projects.
- Translate product vision into clear, elegant, and intuitive interface concepts for future-facing experiences.
- Create a variety of visual outputs, including consumer app experiences and patient-journey storytelling materials.
- Explain design decisions and rationale to internal stakeholders to build alignment and support.
- Design engaging web and mobile interfaces that balance aesthetic quality with usability.
Required Background
The ideal candidate must currently hold a Visual Designer title; candidates focused primarily on product design or UX design are not being considered. You should bring at least 7 years of experience in visual, graphic, or UX design, ideally with exposure to customer or patient experience work in healthcare, biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences environments.
Skills and Tools
A strong portfolio is essential, especially one that highlights interface or screen-based work. You should be comfortable with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, able to prototype at different levels of fidelity, and experienced using AI tools such as Adobe Firefly or Midjourney. Solid knowledge of component-based design systems, strong visual storytelling ability, attention to detail, and the capacity to thrive in fast-moving settings are also important.
Education and Eligibility
A BA/BS in Graphic Design, User Experience, Visual Communication, Digital Media, or a related discipline is required, unless you have equivalent practical experience. Professional English proficiency is needed. You must also be legally authorized to work in the United States.

This role is part of an incubation lab within a design and technology team. The environment emphasizes rapid experimentation, concept development, and translating future ideas into tangible design outputs.
