Role Overview

This position is for a senior software engineer who can build and support high-performance applications for AI-assisted workflows and decision systems. The role combines backend engineering, cloud architecture, DevOps, and integration of AI/ML capabilities into production systems.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop robust backend components and full-stack solutions for intelligent workflow applications.
• Create and maintain applications that support AI-driven decisioning and automation at scale.
• Design, deploy, and manage solutions on AWS using services such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, Aurora, and Bedrock/SageMaker.
• Build event-based and microservices-based architectures that can handle scalable AI workloads.
• Implement infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Develop and refine CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Apply MLOps practices including model lifecycle management, version control, and monitoring.
• Improve system performance, reliability, observability, and cost effectiveness for AI inference platforms.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in full-stack engineering, with strong capability in both backend and frontend development.
• Strong coding ability in Python along with hands-on REST API design and development.
• Practical experience with AWS cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, IAM, and monitoring.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, DevOps workflows, and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience integrating AI and ML models into production applications.

Preferred Skills and Domain Experience

• Hands-on experience with React.js, including hooks, component design, and state management.
• Exposure to agentic AI or generative AI solutions, including LLMs, RAG, and orchestration frameworks.
• Knowledge of vector databases such as Pinecone, FAISS, or OpenSearch, and familiarity with semantic search.
• Experience with MLOps tools such as model registries, pipelines, and evaluation frameworks.
• Background in microservices and event-driven system design.
• Prior experience in healthcare or other regulated environments is preferred.
• Experience working with healthcare datasets such as claims, eligibility, prior authorization, and provider directories is preferred.
• Understanding of clinical or operational healthcare workflows such as provider calls, documentation, and adjudication steps is preferred.
• Awareness of healthcare data sensitivity and HIPAA-like compliance expectations is preferred.
