Role Overview
An Chúirt Hotel, a 4-star property in the Gweedore area of County Donegal, is looking for a courteous and well-organised Reservations Agent to support guest bookings and deliver a smooth pre-arrival experience. This position is centered on guest communication, reservation accuracy, and helping the hotel make the most of every sales opportunity.
What You’ll Do
- Respond to booking queries received by phone, email, and online reservation channels.
- Enter and update reservations accurately in the hotel booking system.
- Share clear information with guests about room types, pricing, packages, and available hotel services.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue by suggesting room upgrades, packages, and other services when suitable.
- Handle booking changes, cancellations, and guest-specific requests with care and accuracy.
- Work closely with the Front Office, Housekeeping, and Sales departments to keep operations running smoothly.
- Keep guest profiles and payment information accurate and up to date.
- Maintain a polished, helpful, and welcoming standard of service throughout every interaction.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous work in hotel reservations, front office, or customer service is an advantage.
- Clear communication and strong people skills.
- Confident and professional phone etiquette.
- Comfortable using computers; experience with hotel booking software is helpful.
- Strong accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail.
- Able to work on your own as well as collaboratively with others.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, with weekend work if needed; the usual schedule is Monday to Friday.
