About the Role
Porter is seeking a seasoned Product Manager to take end-to-end ownership of a product charter. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering on the charter’s OKRs, starting from identifying the problem and shaping the roadmap, all the way through release, iteration, and measurable business outcomes.
The position calls for a high degree of autonomy, the ability to run several discovery tracks at once, ownership of a 2–3 quarter roadmap, and close collaboration with teams across functions to convert plans into results.
Key Responsibilities
- Steer the roadmap and OKRs for a complete product charter, planning about two to three quarters ahead.
- Draft detailed PRDs that clearly define the problem, requirements, launch checkpoints, instrumentation, and expected impact.
- Run multiple discovery efforts in parallel for both problems and solutions, then combine findings from research and data into actionable insights.
- Create repeatable frameworks to assess, compare, and improve solution choices across the charter.
- Work closely with engineering, design, business, and data partners to keep execution moving and remove blockers early.
- Use metrics to track delivery efficiency as well as product performance and overall impact.
- Support and coach junior product managers on discovery practices, PRD writing, and effective delivery methods.
- Own go-to-market preparation and help ensure the organization is operationally ready for launches.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate should bring solid product management experience, strong analytical thinking, and the confidence to lead cross-functional work independently. You should be comfortable defining metrics, using data to prioritize decisions, and translating research into product direction.
Must Have
- 4–7 years of experience in product management, including at least 2 years working on B2C consumer products at scale.
- Demonstrated ownership of a full product charter with clear accountability for OKRs and outcomes.
- Deep discovery capability, including the ability to combine insights from multiple research approaches and data inputs at the same time.
- Strong comfort with data, including metric design, estimating impact, prioritizing using evidence, and responding to anomalies with action.
- Hands-on experience with roadmap planning and backlog handling over a 2–3 quarter horizon.
- Ability to drive alignment and progress across engineering, design, and business stakeholders without relying on formal authority.
- Clear, structured communication tailored to stakeholders at different levels.
- Exposure to A/B testing and iterative product development.
Good to Have
- Experience in platform, growth, engagement, or personalization work.
- Previous experience mentoring junior PMs or other cross-functional contributors.
- Experience at a product-led B2C company with more than 1 million MAU.
