Role overview

This is a commercially driven procurement role with a fast-growing entertainment challenger brand in a scale-up stage. The business is expanding its range and international footprint after strong market traction, and this position will play a key part in making that growth happen.

You will own sourcing and production activities end to end, partnering closely with the Head of Operations and other teams to make sure products are delivered on schedule, meet the required specification, and stay within target cost.

Location: Central London, with a hybrid setup of 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home.

Salary: £50,000 to £60,000.

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for building and managing the supply base while keeping commercial and operational performance on track.

  • Source and onboard manufacturing partners across international markets.
  • Handle day-to-day communication with suppliers and monitor their ongoing performance.
  • Evaluate potential suppliers on cost, quality, and reliability to ensure the strongest fit.
  • Negotiate pricing, minimum order quantities, contracts, payment terms, and lead times.
  • Take ownership of full product costing, covering components, packaging, and freight.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and strengthen margins.
  • Manage the production workflow from purchase order placement through to final delivery.
  • Monitor supplier capacity and lead times, and act early to prevent delays.
  • Coordinate sampling, tooling, and pre-production approvals.
  • Set and maintain quality control standards, including oversight of third-party inspections.
  • Support new product development from initial concept to first production run.
  • Create practical processes and playbooks that improve supply chain scalability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

The right candidate will bring direct experience managing sourcing and production for physical consumer goods on an international basis.

  • Proven background in sourcing and producing physical consumer products internationally.
  • Experience working within a brand or business below £30 million in scale.
  • Hands-on experience managing global manufacturers, especially in China.
  • Strong commercial judgement and confidence in negotiating costs, contracts, and supplier terms.
  • Demonstrated success in generating cost savings and improving margins.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and factory performance.
  • Strong attention to product quality and detail, with a solid quality control mindset.
  • Experience supporting new product launches from concept through to production.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to take full ownership of sourcing and production.

Additional information

This role is part of a business that values inclusion and diversity, and the hiring process is intended to support candidates in showing up authentically.

Due to the high number of applications, individual responses may not be possible. If you do not hear back within 14 days, the application will not be moving forward. The role may also be closed during that time, so timing may be a factor.

The company encourages interested candidates to stay connected for future opportunities.
