Role overview
This position is for an MRO Engineer focused on aerospace maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities. The role centers on analyzing engine-component damage, defining repair criteria, and producing accurate technical documentation that supports safe and compliant maintenance work.
Key responsibilities
- Examine damage on aero engine parts and identify the underlying causes.
- Set and verify acceptance thresholds for repairs and component serviceability.
- Design repair methods that align with aerospace requirements and standards.
- Prepare clear inspection manuals, repair manuals, and related technical records for engines and assemblies.
- Work with teams across functions to ensure engineering and mechanical processes follow aeronautical principles.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in MRO processes and workflows.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory rules, OEM expectations, and aviation safety standards.
Required background
- Hands-on experience in aerospace maintenance, repair, and overhaul environments.
- Strong understanding of aero engines, inspection methods, and approved repair practices.
- Ability to create inspection guides, cleaning instructions, and repair documentation for aerospace components.
- Good troubleshooting ability, including root-cause analysis and practical decision-making.
- Familiarity with OEM documentation, regulatory requirements, and aviation safety compliance.
- Experience in component life evaluation, reliability assessment, and performance comparison.
- Strong technical writing, reporting, and documentation skills.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) is required.
