Where you'll work

Stellenbeschreibung

About the role

Patsnap is creating a new generation of AI-first products for the life sciences space, evolving from a conventional SaaS offering into a smarter product ecosystem driven by MCPs, Skills, and Agents. The aim is to place Patsnap directly inside customer workflows so they can complete research, clinical, business development, competitive intelligence, and regulatory work with greater speed and accuracy.

This position is for a domain knowledge scientist who bridges life sciences expertise with product thinking. It is not a standard product management role. The focus is on converting complex, messy, real-world problems in life sciences into practical products that users will return to every day.

If you hold a PhD in life sciences, bioinformatics, computational biology, or have comparable industry experience, and you have often thought existing tools were close but still not quite right, this is a chance to build the capabilities you always wanted to use.

What you will do

Build product-led growth solutions on the platform

  • Spot high-impact opportunities across clinical development, translational medicine, business development, competitive intelligence, and regulatory work.
  • Convert Patsnap’s rich datasets, including clinical trials, sequences, targets, deals, and patents, into MCPs, Skills, and Agents that solve practical workflow problems.
  • Release new ideas quickly in a research-preview format so users can test them within weeks, then improve them continuously using feedback.

Turn customer needs into product direction

  • Spend substantial time with researchers, scientists, BD teams, clinical operations teams, and other life sciences users.
  • Look beyond stated requests to understand the real outcome users are trying to achieve.
  • Break workflows into detail until you identify the final stretch where existing tools stop helping and users begin to struggle.
  • Decide what deserves to be built, what should be left out, and where Patsnap can offer a clear advantage.

Shape experiences for different user groups

  • Recognize that different roles need different interpretations of the same underlying data, such as clinical operations teams versus BD leaders examining the same clinical trial.
  • Design Skills and Agents that feel specific to each workflow while staying consistent across the wider platform.
  • Use your judgment and understanding of the platform to make thoughtful prioritization choices.

Support PM and marketing teams

  • Serve as a subject-matter authority for the life sciences product line.
  • Help product managers build a clear understanding of what strong product quality looks like in this market.
  • Work closely with marketing so that positioning, content, and go-to-market plans reflect the actual value of the product rather than just its surface features.
  • Help the wider team develop product taste, not only product requirements.

Required qualifications

  • A PhD in life sciences, bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related field, or equivalent deep industry experience in pharma, biotech, clinical development, translational medicine, business development, or competitive intelligence.
  • Strong curiosity about the ways AI will reshape life sciences workflows, along with the belief that Agents will fundamentally change how this industry works.
  • A proven record of taking something from start to finish, such as a research paper, tool, internal product, data pipeline, or workflow solution.
  • Good product judgment, with the ability to quickly assess whether an early prototype is likely to work for real users.
  • Comfort operating in uncertainty, moving fast, and building at the edge of current model capability.

Nice to have

  • Practical experience with LLMs, agent frameworks, MCP, or prompt engineering.
  • Exposure to structured biomedical datasets such as clinical trial databases, sequence databases, target/disease ontologies, or deal and patent information.
  • Experience building products for technical users such as researchers, developers, data scientists, or scientific analysts.
  • Open-source contributions, technical writing, public projects, or a visible portfolio of work.

What makes this role different

You will do more than write requirements or maintain a roadmap. You will help shape what the next generation of life sciences AI products should actually feel like.

You will combine domain expertise, product judgment, and customer understanding to build tools that are not only powerful, but genuinely helpful in the day-to-day work of scientists, analysts, and decision-makers.

Lassen Sie es so, wenn Sie eine Antwort wünschen – wir werden es für nichts anderes verwenden.
