Role Overview
As an Installer, you will handle the safe and efficient installation of products at customer locations, including home appliances, furniture, and complex electronics. The position plays an important part in delivering a smooth customer experience through professional setup, testing, and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport and deliver items safely to homes or business premises.
- Unpack, assemble, and install different products in line with manufacturer instructions and company standards.
- Carry out checks before installation and test products after setup to confirm proper operation.
- Explain product use, basic upkeep, and simple troubleshooting steps to customers.
- Respond to customer questions and concerns in a polite, helpful, and professional manner.
- Prepare and submit required records such as installation notes, delivery proof, and customer feedback.
- Keep tools, equipment, and company vehicles maintained and ready for use.
- Follow all safety rules and internal policies while performing the job.
- Coordinate with dispatch and customer service teams to complete installations on schedule.
- Spot and report damaged or defective products during the installation process.
Requirements
- High school completion or an equivalent qualification is required; vocational training or certification in a related area such as appliance repair or electronics installation is an advantage.
- Prior experience in installation, assembly, or a similar hands-on role.
- Good mechanical understanding and the ability to solve practical problems.
- Ability to understand technical manuals, instructions, and diagrams.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Physical capability to lift heavy items and repeat manual tasks.
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Comfort with basic hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings and weekends when needed.
