Role overview
This role is focused on managing the complete procurement cycle for facilities management services, supplies, and agreements in a healthcare setting. The aim is to keep costs under control, remain compliant with regulations, and support smooth, uninterrupted hospital operations.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, source, and purchase facilities management services and categories such as MEP, HVAC, soft services, waste handling, utilities, and annual maintenance contracts.
- Draft RFQs and RFPs, review commercial and technical proposals, negotiate terms, and close contracts.
- Oversee supplier performance against service levels and KPIs, and handle contract renewals.
- Track and maintain inventory for consumables, tools, and replacement spare parts used in FM operations.
- Ensure all procurement activity aligns with healthcare requirements and safety standards, including DHA, DOH, and MOHAP guidelines.
- Keep procurement files, reports, and records complete, organized, and ready for audit review.
- Work closely with FM, engineering, and clinical teams to meet urgent and planned procurement needs on time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a similar discipline.
- 5 to 7 years of procurement experience in healthcare or facilities management environments.
- Practical understanding of FM procurement categories and AMC handling.
- Working knowledge of ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or MS Dynamics.
- CIPS or CPSM certification is preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of procurement experience in healthcare or FM.
- Strong knowledge of FM categories and AMC management.
- ERP proficiency (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics).
- CIPS/CPSM preferred.
