Role overview
This position focuses on building project and bid approaches that support new business growth. The role involves reviewing project proposals, using historical cost information, and turning that analysis into reliable estimates and bidding plans.
Key responsibilities
- Join bid meetings and shape a strategy for each proposal, then carry it through execution.
- Produce accurate cost analyses within required timelines.
- Assess project proposals and translate them into budget and estimate figures.
- Collect, refresh, and evaluate historical cost records for use in future bids.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a closely related discipline, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
- Background in estimating projects or in a relevant engineering role.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
- At least 5 years of estimating experience in the commercial general contracting sector.
- Experience preparing bids for projects in the $1 million to $30 million range.
