About the Role
The Lead – EHS – Site is responsible for the comprehensive management of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) at a designated project site. This position ensures strict adherence to all statutory regulations, company policies, and safe operational practices throughout the project's duration. The role involves leading site-specific risk assessment, incident prevention strategies, emergency preparedness, and environmental stewardship efforts. A primary focus is fostering a robust safety culture, overseeing contractor safety performance, and ensuring all operations are conducted with the ultimate goal of zero harm.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete execution of site-level EHS plans, procedures, and compliance requirements, aligning with corporate standards and legal mandates.
- Manage all essential permits, licenses, and documentation, acting as the primary liaison with statutory bodies during inspections to achieve zero non-compliance.
- Conduct thorough hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA), implement effective mitigation strategies, and perform routine checks of work environments for potential hazards.
- Lead comprehensive investigations into incidents, perform root cause analyses, and ensure the timely closure of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), maintaining accurate incident reporting.
- Develop and deliver site-specific EHS inductions, conduct toolbox talks, and implement awareness programs for all personnel and contractors, regularly evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives.
