Role overview
ZEALOT is seeking an Editor to partner closely with a Creative Director and/or Producer in developing a broad range of AV marketing assets. The role sits in a collaborative, inclusive environment that values varied perspectives and supports team members who bring creativity, dedication, and a strong drive for quality work.
What you will create
This position focuses on producing original AV marketing content. Work will commonly include pitch decks, digital cutdowns, creative short-form pieces, TV spots, teasers, and trailers. The editor may also be asked to step into other editors’ projects when schedule demands require revisions or additional cutdowns.
The role often leads campaigns, with a strong emphasis on sports content. While sports is a major focus, the editor should also be comfortable working across multiple genres, handling straightforward tasks with minimal oversight and more complex assignments with moderate guidance.
Working setup
This is a hybrid role based in either Los Angeles (Hollywood) or New York City. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00am to 7:00pm, with three in-office days each week. ZEALOT may later adjust the shift based on business needs. Overtime can occur regularly depending on client demand. A daily commute to the office three times per week is required for consideration.
Additional information
The role reports to the Creative Director or VP in LA, or to the Executive Creative Director in NYC. This is a non-exempt hourly position with paid overtime. The stated annual base pay range is $100,000 to $160,000, and offers may differ depending on relevant work experience.
Career path
ZEALOT emphasizes team support and development. As the editor grows in the role, the expected next step is Senior Editor, with responsibility for high-level AV marketing work, stronger narrative storytelling, advanced editorial style, and greater speed and endurance. In that future role, the editor would need very little input from a producer or Creative Director and may also help mentor junior staff.
