Driver

Role Overview

This position is for a professional driver responsible for safely operating company vehicles, transporting inspection-related equipment, and supporting field teams across client locations in Doha Metropolitan Area. The role requires strong attention to safety, dependable time management, and careful handling of sensitive materials.

Vehicle Operation and Road Safety

• Drive company vehicles responsibly and in line with traffic rules and local transport regulations.
• Keep a spotless driving history and follow all internal vehicle-use guidelines.
• Carry out checks before and after trips, including brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels.
• Inform management right away if any mechanical fault, accident, or vehicle damage occurs.
• Use defensive driving habits and maintain safe travel speeds at all times.
• Ensure seatbelt use and full compliance with road safety standards.

Transport of Equipment and Materials

• Move NDT equipment, testing tools, and inspection materials to different client sites.
• Load items securely so they remain protected during transit.
• Confirm that the cargo is loaded correctly and aligns with the relevant delivery paperwork.
• Handle delicate and sensitive NDT instruments with care.
• Unload equipment safely on arrival at each destination.
• Track transported items and report any shortages or mismatches.

Routing and Time Management

• Organize practical routes across several client sites and work locations.
• Ensure pickups and deliveries are completed on schedule.
• Manage time efficiently when moving between multiple stops.
• Keep dispatch and NDT technicians informed of any delay or issue.
• Support fuel-efficient travel through smart route planning.
• Adjust routes when traffic, weather, or site-entry conditions change.

Vehicle Care and Maintenance

• Maintain the vehicle in a neat, orderly, and professional condition.
• Carry out regular cleaning and basic upkeep tasks.
• Raise maintenance concerns and arrange servicing when needed.
• Monitor fuel levels and refuel as required.

On-Site Support

• Where needed, assist with equipment setup and dismantling at client sites.
• Support NDT technicians with loading and unloading activities.
• Provide simple equipment-handling assistance when requested.
• Maintain professional behavior while working on client premises.
• Follow site-specific entry, safety, and access rules.

Safety, Compliance, and Professional Standards

• Follow all company health, safety, and operational procedures.
• Use the required protective gear whenever necessary.
• Observe site safety briefings and operational protocols.
• Escalate unsafe situations or hazards promptly.
• Take part in safety training sessions and toolbox discussions.
• Comply with all applicable health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid commercial driving license or another appropriate license for the vehicle category.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Should be dependable, punctual, and professional in conduct.
• Needs strong planning and time-management ability.
• Must pay close attention to detail and accuracy.
• Should be physically able to lift, load, and stand as needed.
• Must demonstrate a strong safety-first attitude and willingness to comply with rules.
