Role overview

The Document Controller supports the closeout and quality control of job data books, including submission of data books to client portals. This role also helps with material clearing for fabrication and provides support to the Quality Assurance Program, including ASME submittals, forms, and procedures.

Key duties

  • Enter completed information into FilePro for document storage.
  • Assemble project data books during the job lifecycle for client submission.
  • Upload project data books into the client database when required.
  • Help prepare forms and create ASME documentation needed to keep the program current.
  • Revise and maintain departmental forms to support day-to-day business needs.
  • Scan records into files and organize them according to client specifications.
  • Generate summary sheets from FilePro to build project data books.
  • Arrange job folders for quick access and document retrieval.
  • Review job specifications and set up software databases for file uploads.
  • Understand NDE reports and connect them correctly to weld and drawing numbers.
  • Create Gulf Island DOT cover sheets for client submissions.
  • Support the document supervisor with additional tasks as needed.

Requirements
