Role overview

This full-time Data Scientist position is based in Plano, Texas, and offers the chance to build machine learning solutions that support security-focused platforms. The role centers on developing models that help enforce least-privilege access, improving model accuracy over time, and taking data science work all the way into production.

What you will do

• Create and refine machine learning solutions for security platforms.
• Build and deploy models designed to support least-privilege access controls.
• Review model performance and make incremental improvements using feedback.
• Work with large datasets for exploration, cleansing, standardization, aggregation, and feature engineering.
• Carry out machine learning operations and move models into production prediction services.
• Make sure applications align with security and compliance expectations.
• Use infrastructure as code practices to set up and manage data science infrastructure.
• Find and fix application vulnerabilities while maintaining compliance standards.

Experience and qualification requirements

The employer is looking for someone with either a Master's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related discipline and 3 years of experience in the same role or a similar one, or a Bachelor's degree in one of those fields plus 5 years of relevant experience.

Relevant background should include hands-on experience in data exploration, transformation, aggregation, statistical analysis, and cleaning using Python, Jupyter Notebook, SQL, pandas, and PySpark. The role also calls for building data science models with Python and machine learning libraries such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch, as well as working with AWS tools including S3, SageMaker, and EMR.

In addition, the position requires experience with MLOps and production deployment using CI/CD tools like Jenkins and AWS services such as SageMaker, plus infrastructure automation with Terraform for AWS resources including S3 and EMR. Experience developing RESTful APIs with FastAPI or Flask to serve models is also needed.
