Data Quality Analyst

Role Overview

We are seeking a practical, detail-oriented Data Quality Analyst to help keep dashboards, reports, and digital products accurate, consistent, and dependable. In this role, you will check business-facing data before it is published, making sure reports, KPIs, and analytical outputs match approved definitions and are ready for end users.

You will partner with teams across analytics, BI, product, and engineering to protect the integrity of the data that supports day-to-day business decisions.

What You Will Be Doing

• Review data shown in dashboards, reports, web applications, and mobile applications to confirm it is correct.
• Compare source data, transformed datasets, and final outputs to ensure they reconcile properly.
• Check KPIs, metrics, filters, aggregations, and calculation rules used in reports.
• Make sure the same metric is represented consistently across different dashboards and reporting tools.
• Confirm that business rules are applied correctly and that reported numbers align with approved definitions.
• Spot discrepancies in data and investigate issues before release.
• Support UAT for dashboards, reports, chatbots, and other analytical solutions.
• Serve as the final quality checkpoint before dashboards and reports go live.
• Record, monitor, and assist in resolving data quality incidents.
• Collaborate with BI developers, data engineers, and analytics specialists to fix reporting problems.
• Keep documentation updated for reconciliation rules, report logic, and validation steps.
• Help strengthen reporting standards, validation checklists, and overall quality processes.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Data Quality, Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Reporting Assurance.
• Practical experience reviewing dashboards, reports, or BI solutions for accuracy.
• Solid SQL skills for validation, reconciliation, and data comparison.
• Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting platforms.
• Good understanding of KPIs, metrics, business rules, and calculation logic.
• Experience with enterprise data systems such as ERP, CRM, or HCM.
• Strong analytical thinking and careful attention to detail.
• Ability to explain data issues clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong ownership mindset and a commitment to data accuracy.

Nice to Have

• Experience validating analytics for web or mobile products.
• Background in government or enterprise reporting setups.
• Exposure to data governance, reporting standards, or data quality frameworks.
• Experience supporting executive reporting.
