About ClearPoint
ClearPoint has spent more than 19 years helping organisations tackle complex digital change. The company brings together software engineering, AI, data and insights, cloud services, and human-centred design to create outcomes that are practical, lasting, and valuable. Its clients include some of New Zealand’s most influential organisations. The Auckland head office looks out over the Viaduct and is about a 5-minute walk from Britomart, with shared working access available across New Zealand and Australia. ClearPoint also operates with a focus on innovation and aims to contribute positively to its people, clients, communities, and the broader region across New Zealand, Australia, and the UK.
Culture
The team environment is described as collaborative, inquisitive, and high performing. ClearPoint’s core values are respect and care for people, acting with integrity, and building and protecting trust. People in the business are expected to take ownership, maintain high standards, and enjoy the work they do. The company also places importance on employee development and creating room for team members to grow and contribute.
Role Overview
This is a 12-month contract opportunity for a Data Analyst supporting a ClearPoint client. The role is based in Auckland Central with a hybrid working setup. It is a practical, delivery-oriented position for someone who is proactive, team-focused, and comfortable working through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the reporting layer from a product perspective by gathering stakeholder needs and managing expectations through to delivery.
- Convert platform data into clear, usable dashboards and reports.
- Take part in daily stand-ups and keep work progress visible to the wider team.
- Identify roadblocks early and ask for support when requirements are unclear.
- Contribute to data governance work, including support for data policy creation and data deletion frameworks.
Required Experience
The ideal candidate has prior experience as a data analyst and is confident with data querying, cleaning, and transformation. Strong Power BI development experience is essential, including building dashboards to a functional standard. You should also bring solid SQL skills and experience working with relational data sources. The role requires the ability to turn business needs into reporting outputs and explain findings to non-technical stakeholders. Success in this role also depends on being comfortable in a transparent, highly collaborative setting with frequent stakeholder interaction. Experience in consulting or professional services would be an advantage.
Eligibility
Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
