Creative Project Manager

Role Overview

This contract position is for a project manager who will oversee photo and video production for two client accounts. The work begins at about 10 hours per week and may expand into a full-time role within a year if the collaboration is successful.

You will serve as the central point of contact for the client, manage schedules, and coordinate the creative team responsible for delivering content.

About the Agency

The agency is a small, fully remote content company focused on photo and video production for recognized consumer brands in beauty, fashion, jewelry, and lifestyle across North America. The team includes a few in-house members along with a wider roster of trusted freelance photographers, videographers, editors, and designers brought in by project.

The company deliberately avoids high-volume agency work and prefers to support fewer clients with deeper attention. As the business grows, it needs project managers who can take regular client management off the founder’s plate so each account receives strong day-to-day support.

What the Role Covers

This position combines project management, video shoot coordination, and client account management. You will own the end-to-end workflow for two clients, from monthly planning through shoot execution and final delivery.

The role is fully remote, and you will not attend shoots in person. Instead, you will manage production from your desk using Slack, phone, Notion, and Frame.io. Your responsibility is to ensure the right people are booked, briefed, on schedule, and delivering to the client’s expectations.

Client Management

You will act as the primary contact for the clients assigned to you. This includes leading weekly 30-minute check-ins on Zoom or Google Meet, sharing monthly content plans, collecting feedback, and converting it into actionable direction for the team. You will also send a brief monthly performance summary and manage everyday communication through email and Slack.

Project Coordination

After a content plan is approved, you will translate it into a working schedule. You will create tasks in Notion, prepare clear briefs for editors and designers, route revisions to the correct team members, and keep deliverables progressing. When changes are requested, you will determine whether they fall within scope, estimate the effort involved, and communicate that clearly to the client.

Remote Video Production Management

You will coordinate every shoot remotely. That includes booking studios, photographers, videographers, models, locations, and vendors; preparing call sheets; and confirming call times the day before production. On shoot days, you will stay connected through Slack and phone to ensure schedules are met, talent arrives on time, and the team has what it needs. If issues come up, such as a late model or an incorrect backdrop, you will handle the problem from your desk and keep the production moving.

Quality Control

Before final approval, you will perform a quick quality review on every photo and video asset. Your checks will focus on obvious issues such as caption typos, incorrect supers, or uneven color between shots. Once the Content Lead signs off, you will prepare a clean Frame.io review link for the client and deliver the final files in the correct format and naming structure.

Process Improvement

The team runs most operations in Notion and continually looks for ways to automate and simplify work. If you notice inefficiencies, you are expected to raise them, suggest improvements, and contribute ideas for better workflows and automation.

Reporting Structure and Team

You will report directly to Kyle, the founder. You will collaborate with the Content Lead, photo editor, video editors, and freelance photographers and videographers. The team is small enough that you should become familiar with everyone quickly. Day-to-day collaboration happens through Notion, Slack, Frame.io, and email.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience managing photo and video projects from beginning to end for consumer brands. You should have experience coordinating remote shoots, writing briefs, giving creative feedback, and joining weekly client meetings where you turn broad comments into clear actions. Comfort with Notion, or a similar tool such as ClickUp or Asana, is important, and you should be open to switching tools if needed.

You should be able to manage client relationships independently, notice small errors others might miss, and coordinate multiple vendors for a single shoot without losing track of details. Written and spoken English should be native or near-native, since the clients are premium brands that expect polished communication.

Compensation and Work Pattern

This is a remote contract role paid at $30 USD per hour. The expected workload is 5 to 10 hours per week per client, with two clients assigned to each project manager, which usually totals about 10 to 20 hours weekly. Some weeks will be lighter, while shoot weeks and review-heavy weeks may require more time.

Every new hire begins with a short paid trial: 1 hour per day for 3 days managing one client. If the trial is a good fit, the second client is added and the role continues.
