Chemist - AI Trainer

Role overview

We are seeking an experienced chemist to support the training and evaluation of AI models. In this position, you will test chatbot responses, assess how well they reason through chemistry problems, and help improve the overall quality of the models.

Required background

The ideal candidate has strong expertise in chemistry. A completed or ongoing Master's or PhD is preferred, although it is not mandatory. Suitable backgrounds can also include roles such as research and development chemist, formulation scientist, development chemist, analytical chemist, chemical engineer, medicinal chemist, biochemist, or process development chemist.

Responsibilities

• Pose advanced chemistry questions to AI chatbots and review their answers.

Qualifications

• Strong command of English at a native or bilingual level.
• Careful, detail-focused approach to reviewing outputs.
• Solid understanding of general, organic, and physical chemistry.
• Master's and/or PhD in progress, completed, or planned is preferred but not required.

Important notes

This is an independent contractor role. Payment is processed through PayPal, and no fees or payments will ever be requested from applicants. Any currency conversion from USD is handled by PayPal. Only candidates located in New Zealand will be considered.
