Role Overview

This position is for an Azure Data Engineer involved in building and supporting data ingestion and transformation workflows on Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

• Bring data into Azure from a variety of sources, including databases, flat files, APIs, and streaming systems.
• Design and run ETL workflows, for example moving data from an on-premises SQL Server database into Azure Blob Storage by using Azure Data Factory.
• Carry out large-scale data preparation and transformation work so the data is ready for analytics and reporting.
• Use platforms such as Azure Databricks or Azure Synapse Analytics, along with Apache Spark-based processing, for transformation tasks.
