Role Description
The Assistant role at Sourchianacademy is a remote, contract position focused on providing day-to-day operational and administrative support. Responsibilities include scheduling and coordinating meetings, maintaining calendars, organizing digital files, and supporting email and message management. The Assistant will help prepare documents, presentations, and simple reports, and may assist with basic data entry and record keeping. The role may also involve supporting communication with learners and instructors, tracking tasks and deadlines, and coordinating with other team members to ensure smooth delivery of academic and administrative activities. The successful candidate will work independently, manage priorities, and maintain confidentiality while collaborating regularly with the broader team online.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills, including calendar management, task prioritization, and file organization.
- Proficiency with common digital tools such as email platforms, office suites (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentations), and online collaboration tools.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with team members, learners, and instructors.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, document preparation, and record keeping.
- Comfort with learning new software and systems related to online education and project management.
- Previous experience in an administrative, assistant, or coordination role is preferred.
- Experience in education, training, or e-learning environments is an advantage.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Business Administration, Communications) is a plus.
