Role Overview

This full-time, on-site Anchor position in Coimbatore calls for a confident presenter who can deliver news and feature segments, introduce shows, and conduct both studio and field interviews with professionalism and clarity. The role requires close coordination with reporters and producers, careful script preparation, and a commitment to accurate, timely delivery of information. The Anchor will also take part in editorial discussions, contribute story and segment ideas, engage audiences across platforms, and help uphold the company’s standards of fairness, ethics, and precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Present news bulletins and feature segments in a clear, engaging, and professional manner.
• Host programs and carry out interviews both inside the studio and at external locations.
• Prepare scripts and review news items to ensure correctness and readiness for broadcast.
• Work closely with reporters, producers, and the broader production team to support smooth newsroom operations.
• Participate in editorial meetings and suggest ideas for stories, segments, and show content.
• Interact with audiences across multiple platforms while maintaining a consistent on-air presence.
• Follow journalistic standards and demonstrate fairness, accuracy, and strong ethical judgment at all times.

Qualifications

• Strong grounding in reporting and broadcast journalism, including the ability to collect, verify, and present information accurately.
• Experience or capability in broadcasting and presenting, with a polished on-camera presence and clear speech delivery.
• Ability to write concise, engaging news copy and adapt complex topics for varied audiences.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills for a fast-moving newsroom setting.
• Education in journalism, mass communication, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience in broadcasting.
• Comfort using studio equipment and understanding basic production processes; digital and social media familiarity is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail, sound ethical decision-making, and the ability to stay calm and composed during live broadcasts.
