Role Overview

This National Shopper Development Manager position for the Foodstuffs business in Auckland reports to the Foodstuffs Team Leader. The role is focused on speeding up growth with this key retailer by strengthening customer engagement, improving collaboration, and expanding brand presence across the Awareness, Consideration, Purchase, and Loyalty journey.

The position plays an important part in the Customer Development function and is responsible for shaping and delivering an omnichannel category strategy. The role requires strong analytical capability, the ability to turn data into practical market actions, and effective coordination of category solutions and range reviews. Clear communication and alignment across the wider team are also essential.

  • Build strong consumer and shopper understanding across both online and offline channels and use it to develop compelling category stories.
  • Partner closely with Foodstuffs in a category consulting capacity.
  • Work across Digital, Insights, Retail Marketing, and Consumer Marketing teams to align activity.
  • Identify missing knowledge or insight gaps and escalate them to the wider Commercial team.
  • Convert analytics into practical customer-planning recommendations.
  • Develop planograms using the Apollo space-planning tool.
  • Carry out other tasks assigned by the company.
