Role overview

Kimberly-Clark is hiring an R&D Scientist in Singapore to contribute to the development of products and technologies behind well-known brands such as Huggies, Kotex, Poise, and Depend. What you will do

• Serve as the technical specialist for developing, validating, implementing, and maintaining analytical, physical, and/or microbiological test methods.
• Own the full lifecycle of assigned test methods to keep them effective, reliable, and compliant.
• Create, write, and lead validation, verification, and transfer protocols and related documentation within project timelines.
• Partner with global testing teams to solve technical issues related to new products, process deviations, failure analysis, customer concerns, and intellectual property.
• Support, coach, and train others when needed.
• Monitor stability and performance testing for formulated products, including updating test methods, reviewing external regulatory standards, and meeting internal quality expectations.
• Check, confirm, and approve records and documents while maintaining data integrity and accuracy.
• Drive lab continuous improvement by strengthening quality practices and simplifying workflows.
• Work with other scientists and product developers to build test plans and support product development work.
• Communicate plans and outcomes clearly to internal stakeholders through documentation and formal technical reports.
• Help protect internally developed methods and technologies through patents and trade secrets where appropriate.
• Model safe laboratory behavior and follow all applicable rules and regulations.
• Contribute to a respectful and inclusive team environment that supports strong individual and group performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• 2 to 4 years of analytical experience in liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, and mass spectrometry.
• Hands-on experience with UPLC, HPLC, GC, and GCMS methods.
• Experience with USP and USP standards.
• Prior exposure to validation, verification, and transfer of analytical test methods is preferred.
• Good understanding of laboratory workflows, industrial practices, and regulatory requirements for laboratory equipment and maintenance is preferred.
• Experience handling stability studies, analytical and metrology equipment, and data analysis is an advantage.

Additional information

This is a full-time employee role based onsite in Singapore Mill, Singapore. The position is for local candidates already authorized to work in the country; relocation support will not be provided. Employment is subject to verification of local policies.
